Storm season is on its way... Ready or not?

We are only a month away from the 2021 Hurricane season!  It’s never too early to get your home and family prepared. There is not much that can be done once a storm is imminent, but taking just a little bit of time in advance can not only help ensure your family’s safety, but it also brings a peace of mind and keeps you out of some of the crazy last minutes lines at the store!

Our favorite resource for all things storm preparedness is ready.gov.  Among many other things you can find information and tools on:

• Creating a plan for your home and family.
• Finding your evacuation route.
• Insurance and financial necessities to consider.
• Building an emergency kit.
• Downloading and utilizing the FEMA disaster help/alerts app.

We at SERVPRO of Greater Northern Charleston and Dorchester County are also here to help you prepare.  If you own a local business, we have a program especially for you.  Our Emergency Ready Program allows us to set you up in our system in advance of a disaster with all of the necessary information to reduce response time to getting your restoration under way. 

For our homeowners, we have a deductible advantage program.  By registering and answering just a few pertinent questions, we will cover up to $1,000 of your deductible if you had an insurance claim that we were hired to complete the work.
